Through his compositions and geographic journeys, Domenico Scarlatti embodies the unique power of music to transcend borders, cultures, and languages, affirming a Europe that is both one and many.
Via Scarlatti | Culture and Innovation as the Soul of Europe revisits the early 18th century not as a distant past, but as a moment of cultural and human flourishing from which we might draw inspiration to build sustainable, creative, and inclusive futures.
The programme seeks to deepen our understanding of Scarlatti’s life and artistic pat, while exploring lesser-known intersections with other disciplines such as art, architecture, design, and science. It invites new interpretations of his legacy and shines a light on historical characters who shared his time and vision but remain largely overlooked.
At its heart, Via Scarlatti builds bridges between historical knowledge and contemporary practice, inviting creators and thinkers across generations to engage with the European soul through the lens of culture and innovation.
It reflects Terra’s strong commitment to both classical and contemporary music, and to its potential to foster a more sustainable and inclusive society.
